Pastor Jamie Terry new HRBC pastor

Pastor Jamie expresses his goal and desires as the new pastor of HRBC in these words: 

“My desire is to commune with God through the study of His word, and then to clearly make His word known to His people for the praise of His glory, the salvation of the lost, and the sanctification of the saints. I believe this happens through the faithful preaching and teaching of the word of God, for God’s word alone has the power to save, sanctify, and transform lives for His glory. As a pastor, I emphasize every member ministry and seek to cultivate a culture of evangelism, discipleship, and hospitality in the church. My desire in the ministry is to evangelize the lost, disciple the saved, equip the church, preach the word, and glorify God. 

“To sum it up, my goal is to see the people of God transformed by the Spirit of God through the word of God for the glory of God.”

Pastor Terry was pastor of Christ is the King Baptist Church, Nedrow NY prior to coming to HRBC. He has had experience in open-air preaching and training believers in evangelism. He has the Diploma of Pastoral Studies from Covenant Baptist Theological Seminary, Owensboro, KY. He is married to Jessica. They are raising two children. 

Pastor Terry will assume his full-time position as soon as the family can find suitable housing.
